  CHRISTIAN FORMATION
Element_2988a.jpg St. Helena's Church offers many opportunities to grow in grace, and in the knowledge of the Lord through Bible Study, Sunday School, Small Groups, Parenting Classes, and Book Studies. Here are some opportunities that are being offered right now.

  Children's Sunday School

Children's Sunday School begins directly following the 9:00 service. Classes are always open to new families and visitors.

Kelly Mann and Sarah Hardin lead the pre-kinder group in a class entitled "Simple Stories Jesus Told."

Rose Nelson and Megan Jackson are entrusted with our kindergarteners as they study "What We Do In Church."

Skye Baldwin and Elaina Page are also studying "What We Do In Church" with our 1st & 2nd graders.

Kathy Ward and Sheila Walters lead our 3rd & 4th graders in the a more in-depth study of "What We Do In Church."

Dawn McLendon and Denise Dominguez are on a mission with the 5th & 6th graders as they discover "The Power of Mission- Part 2 Mosquito Nets for Africa."

  New Member Classes

Want to know more about St. Helena's Church?  Wonder why we worship the way we do?  Interested in joining us as a member?  Then New Member classes are for you.  We will gather 6:30pm-8pm on Thursday April 10 and Thursday April 17.  Childcare will be available if you need it.  These classes are not "required" but are for your information and orientation.  To sign up e-mail David Read at davidr@sthelenas-boerne.org or call (830) 249-3228.

The Revelation to John Sunday School Class

The Revelation to John is perhaps the most challenging, most misunderstood, and most mis-used book of the Bible.  Filled with vivid imagery, this last book of the Bible continues to challenge Christians seeking to encounter it and understand it.  This Sunday School class will be led by The Rev. David Read.  We will start on Sunday, January 27 at 10:15am in the Parish Hall.  You will want to bring your own Bible to this class!

  Rock Solid

Rock Solid invites all 5th & 6th graders to church on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00-5:30 p.m.  In The R.O.C.K.  the kids gather for snacks, innovative experiences, and powerful discussions all meant to deepen their relationships with Jesus and build new friendships.  Contact Ms. Dawn at 249-3228 or dawn@sthelenas-boerne.org

Disciple Bible Study classes are in session!

Disciple is a Bible study program that includes Monday night gatherings for discussion and a short video, and some work in a workbook between sessions.  Stay tuned for an opportunity to sign up in January, 2008.
